Francisco Javier LOSADA was born en 1973.
In him, Losada carries two landscapes, Paris where he was born, where he paints,
and Spain, land of his roots and his memory, which he visits regularly.
Fascinated by dreams and the unconscious, he started syudying psychology.
Then he decided that he wanted to paint and went the school of the fine arts of Paris.
He graduated in 2002 and since then has been entirely devoted to art.

His painting is a world of enchantment, quietude and mystery.

In spaces without reference to either place or time, he gives life to winged beings, enigmatic,
majestic, with the bareley suggested faces which look over and question us.

Semi-human beings, semi-birds, our guardian angels perhaps…

In the calm of his workshop workshop, as for a ritual, with ancestral gestures, he crushes his pigments,
obtaining a thick, smooth paste with the very pure, concentrated colors. He prefers yellows,
oranges, reds which burst into magnetic white. He works with the pallette knife, layer on layer,
superimposing the colors, blurs, erases, bleaches and in this manner he lightly with the brush, outlines pale features. It's a process which is worked out slowly over time, day after day, week after week…

"I like this alchemical process where one sees the raw fabric being metamorphosed little by little into a skin".

The painting of Francisco Javier LOSADA transports us towards a solar, enigmatic and voluptuous world
where one enters as in a dream and from where one leaves feeling luminous and light.
